You could probably put your infant in the dock and then even into a cradle, giving even more comfort. Then they sell the DockATot Grand, which is for children 9 - 36 months. This is great for if you ever travel. It can keep your baby safe and also keep them feeling secure with the familiarity of the dock. The site sells a Transport Bag, which is a nice option. We loved the selection of covers for the docks; they are beautiful. Seems like you'll need to invest in covers knowing how babies can make things messy. All of the items come with a mid-expensive price tag. For example, the DockATot Grand is $300, so you may want to add this to your shower gift list.
Cons: For old-school moms, this may be an unnecessary item. A bassinette, blanket, and a car seat might be well enough, especially if you're on a budget.
