For as long as I can remember, I have needed glasses. I remember being a young child in school, straining to see the blackboard. I think I was about six or seven when my teacher noticed I was having trouble seeing. She told my parents, who took me to the eye doctor, and the rest was history. Being nearsighted is not too bad, but I'm not a good candidate for Lasik. So, I wear glasses or contact lenses all the time. When I was younger, I was stuck with just glasses. As soon as I was old enough, I got contacts. What a difference they made, and I could play sports easier. No worries about broken or lost glasses and I could see better than ever. When extended-wear and disposable lenses came out, I was even happier. If I want to, I can sleep in them and wake up with clear vision, which is so convenient. I still wear my glasses, but I like the freedom of the option of not having to all the time. I'm also a fan of shopping online. I'm pretty happy checking out Eyeconic.com. It appears they'll work with my VSP insurance plan and my eye doctor. That means I'll get the best service and good insurance coverage. They carry a great assortment of contacts and some decent frames. I'll probably get my AirOptix lenses there. They don't have too many frames I like, unfortunately. I'd also like it if they carried contact lens supplies.
