Every year we go camping in the summer. Usually we do two separate trips. There is one, however, that we take with the same friends each year. It's a group of 30, which includes about 20 children. We all know each other because we met when the kids were in pre-school. So basically, all the youngsters have known each other their entire lives. Nonetheless, as the years have gone on, the activities have changed. When the kids were little, we did simple scavenger hunts on our group campsite. As they matured, we played Frisbee, football, and even penny-ante poker. They always bring their bicycles because the camp store is a half-mile away and they like to ride there to get an ice cream.

We figured since they all have their bikes, this year we would do an evening scavenger hunt, using the entire property of the campground. They will be safe, but finding the items in the clues will certainly be tricky. For my son's birthday, I decided to get him a good headlamp. I figured it would come in handy on the camping trip.
