When I first left home, I was shocked by all the expenses I was (all of a sudden) confronted with. I learned a lot about bills like heat, water, and electricity. Thank goodness my dad still covered my health insurance. But even then, when I sprained my ankle at the fraternity house, the co-pay for the doctor visit was a fortune. Oh, and my glasses. Now I buy them on FramesDirect.com. I need a bargain, but I still want designer frames-that's why I'm looking at their site. Another thing they offer are transition lenses, which I need desperately. If they accepted insurance, then they'd be perfect.
