About Helzberg Diamonds:
I've never been materialistic, but I still appreciate "things". In many instances, quality (in a product) can mean higher cost. That makes sense-the richer the ingredients and the more custom-manpower involved, of course, the price should be higher. It's expected. As a consumer, what I find most despicable is when a vendor charges or expects a certain price that is clearly unwarranted. I am not cheap, but money matters. If I am going to spend, I want it to be on something that warrants and retains value. On the other hand, I don't shun a bargain. I am more than happy to pay less if someone is willing to offer a deal. Online, there are many companies that can undercut others in price because they don't have exorbitant overhead expenses, can get the best merchandise at the lowest cost, or are willing to cut profit margin in order to increase sales. As a supporter of a capitalist society, any of those variables work for me. What I'm saying, in essence, is that I am glad to pay top dollar for superior quality. I am also willing to pay less, (if I get an amazing deal), or if the quality is less superior (and I'm cognizant of that fact.) Helzberg.com is a great example. They have beautiful jewelry. Their diamonds are good quality and their prices fair. Their photos, however, are absurd and unrealistic. I would never buy an engagement ring off of a website if I couldn't see a "real" picture.
