Both my parents play golf. We lived in New York City when I was growing up. I don't remember ever seeing golf being played. I recall the name Jack Nicklaus and the golfer/entertainer Dinah Shore; that's about all I knew from that sport. In fact, I've never really considered it a sport. I understand basketball, baseball, and football. I suppose if throwing darts or playing billiards are considered sports, then golf probably can be categorized as such too. What's funny is that my parents have been divorced for 20 years. That, in and of itself is not funny, but it's coincidental that years after we moved out of New York, they both took up playing golf, separately. It's not like that was one of their shared passions. Evidently, now it is.
What's great for my brother and I is that we always know how to shop for the parents on holidays. Anything golf related works well. There are nice shops, but finding the time and using the gas seems like a waste. I've found cool accessories online on all different types of sites, from t-shirts to towels to personalized balls. A friend told me check out Proozy.com because the site supposedly has sporty stuff for both men and women. I found their selections to be extremely limited. I almost felt like I was at someone's yard sale. There were a couple of these, three of those, and one of those in only one size. Maybe my friend likes it because of the discounts.
