About Really Good Stuff:
Each year before school gets back in session, I swear I'm going to get more organized. I generally pack up the classroom pretty well as we approach summer break. Then, whatever odds and ends are hanging around, I place into a big bin or two and tell myself I'll sort it out over the summer. After 12 years of teaching, I've not once cleaned out my end-of-the school-year bins. I wait until two or three days before school starts in the fall, and then I panic. How will ever get it all together before the students arrive? Inevitably, I do pull it together, but I'm always feeling frazzled and exhausted by the end of the first day back. This year, I made a promise to myself, which I will keep. One of the first things I'm doing is ordering supplies online. I'm giving myself enough time so I don't have to pay extra for rush shipping. I work with students with learning disabilities, and there are generally 10-15 kids in my class. The problem I run into is that I don't need to buy products in bulk, but buying individually tends to cost more. ReallyGoodStuff.com does carry really good stuff. I especially like their wide assortment of desktop helpers and nameplates. Many of the products come in packages of 30. I suppose I could use half and save the other half for next year. I also love their U-shaped activity tables. I'll have to beg for a larger budget to get that.
