About Sam Ash:
We have two sons. One is 12 and the other 10. They are good kids, but they are completely different in almost every way. The older one loves cereal, breads, rice, and the younger only eats protein like steak, turkey, and even fish. The twelve-year old loves sci-fi like Star Wars and Star Trek. The ten-year old watches dopey shows on the Disney Channel and reads comic books. The one thing they both love is music-listening to it and playing it. Of course different styles and instruments, but they both share a passion. For that, I am grateful.
The eldest plays the saxophone, tenor and alto. The other has been playing the piano for years, tried the guitar and couldn't stick with it, and now wants to play the drums. If there's one thing I'm OK with, it's paying for good instruments. I looked at several online sites. SamAsh.com had a great selection of all types of drums. The prices were completely reasonable. I didn't know a lot about drums, but the website helped. We decided to go with a percussion set. Since this was a new venture, I wasn't comfortable purchasing the set piece by piece. The package we ordered came with a high-hat cymbal. I was glad because even though it came with 2 cymbal stands, I didn't want to invest much more until my son started actually playing. The one thing that I thought was a bummer was that drumsticks were not included.
