Every time we get into the rainy season, my yard turn into a huge, muddy mess. If it rains for one day, it's not so bad. But, when it rains for days on end, the ground just can't soak up all the water. There's really no drainage and there's nothing to absorb the wet. So, the dirt turns into very soggy, deep mud. My poor dogs get worn out pretty quickly after they've been out for a bit. They are big dogs, so they need to run everyday, so I have to let them out. But their poor paws dig deep into the mud and it's tough for them to get going as fast as they like to. Some of my large equipment starts sinking, too. The smaller tractor is really difficult to move once the rain starts coming. The bigger tractor has massive tires and it can plow through anything. But the smaller one can get stuck. I bought some 1/2 inch thick kermantle rope from Strapworks.com. It's perfect to use to haul some of my equipment out of the mud before it dries, and before I can never get it out. I just love this site. They've got great prices and tons of selections. They even have random things like a Three Stooges coaster set. I thought that was hilarious! My buddy at work and I are constantly quoting ridiculous lines from that show. For eight bucks, I can get a gift for him that will keep us laughing constantly.
